As an Accountant at Prism Construction, you will help manage relationships with hundreds of construction partners and your role will be critical to the company’s success.

Job description

Your role at Prism will include:

• Maintaining and reconciling financial records specific to the construction industry and property management
• Processing invoices and payments for construction projects and property management
• Handling accounts payable and receivable
• Ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal tax laws, as well as construction industry and property management specific regulations
• Maintaining accurate and organized financial records
• Filing government sales tax returns and other related government filings
• Processing, managing payroll and filing government payroll tax returns
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements for external auditors
• Assisting with budget preparation and tracking progress for construction projects and property management
• Other relevant duties as assigned

You should apply to be Prism’s Accountant only if:

• You have at least 3 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping in the construction industry and property management
• You have a Diploma in accounting or equivalent education, training and experience
• You are detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task to meet tight deadlines throughout the month
• You are honest, loyal and possess strong work ethic
• You possess effective written and interpersonal communication skills
• You have an advanced working knowledge of Excel
